sorry I haven't posted in awhile...I've been busy working and seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week for my migraines.
I just wanted to report that I've been in remission for 2 years now!
I eat whatever I want and it's great! I am sensitive to dairy and fried foods but no D.
I had one relapse the first time after 13 months and it lasted about 6 weeks. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
I hope there are more out there and maybe they aren't posting because they are feeling good.
I don't believe I am cured but I do feel totally normal right now except for the migraines.......maybe this is another autoimmune thing and it has just moved from my gut to my head! I don't know which is worse.
You guys are great.....I will try to pop in more often....I get headaches if I am on the computer too long....
Gret to hear from you Mo and I hope something will help resolve your migraine problem soon. So glad you aren't having to contend with Big D on top of them.
Love, Shirley

Good for you Maureen. Hope your remission continues. I think that all we can do is welcome these respites & trust they last as long as possible.
I have been mostly free of migraine for a number of years now & I suspect that they are often hormone related as I just about went around the twist with them when I was younger, especially when pregnant. I used to get the 'aura' as well & have blackouts & was terrified that my children could be left in danger when they were small. Apparently I would keep functioning but could not remember anything of what I had done for up to an hour. Scary Hope yours settle with time too.
Love

It's so good to hear from you and others that are doing so well in the MC department. We NEED to hear success stories like yours. It's great news.
Sorry to hear about your continued problems with migranes. Have you been able to determined what type of headaches/migranes your having and what may be causing them?
You may already have looked into this but want to mention that sulfites which can cause other health related problems are known to be an underlying cause of toxic headaches for some people.
Toxic headaches are caused by a reaction to a poison or by a sensitivity that mimics such a reaction. Sulfite headaches fall into this category. They are not generally triggered like a migraine or tension headache; they are a reaction to a toxic invasion. As long as the toxin is present, a headache results. When the toxin is removed or neutralized, the pain leaves.
Great news about the MC - thanks for sharing. And let's hope Norman has taken up PERMANENT residence at your house!
Now if you could only figure out what triggers those miserable headaches. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Is the frequency any less since stopping the meds?

Polly
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
I don't know what triggers my migraines but they have lessened some since going on an anti-depressant and seeing a chiropractor....also I have limited my tylenol consumption to twice/week to avoid rebound.
I can never tell the difference between a migraine and a sinus headeache.. they both come on quick and make me sick to my stomach. I do know whne the airpressure changes quickly i can get a headache quick!
