Did a little investigating..
Foods high in iron: (These are from animal soursces)
beef
pork liver shrimp
oysters sardines
mussels turkey
beef liver
Vegetable sources:
cooked beans and lentils potato with skin
pumpkin seeds enriched pasta asparagus
And BLACK STRAP MOLASSES
Iron absorption enhancers:
oranges and juice cantelope strawberries broccoli brussel sprouts tomatoes and juice red and green peppers white wine
Things that inhibit iron absorption:
red wine

coffee tea spinach beets sweet potatoes whole grains bran and soy products..
This site did recommend also taking an iron supplement..
