Shingles

Hi Liz:

My Mother had a really bad case of shingles and did get it diagnosed early enough to take the medication, but it was very extensive - all over her shoulder blade, chest, neck, ear and one side of her face.
I had a minor bout of it about five years ago, but because of Mom's case, I knew what it was right away and got it treated only 2 days after it broke out, so it was only a little patch at the bottom of my shoulder blade.
I got a lot of relief from soaking in a bath with epsom salts.
I hope yours settles down soon. I know there have been advances in treatment for it, but it seems like only in the first stages.
