A bit P.O'd

I got a letter today from one of our girls that sent pics also. In the letter she explains tha Kol my 18 mo old grand son had been in the hospital, very evident because of the picture in the letter with Kol in a hospital gown and a IV in his head.

He contracted the Rota Virus I think she said. Gee was a phone call too much to ask??? :BSFlag:

Man was I mad. I realize we are not there close, but give me a break.

There were pics of my 4 yr old grandaughter as well. She's growing like a weed. As soon as Mike gets the SCANNER errrrrr going for me i can show you.

Most important--the fact that U didnt know about your grandson--

I'm right there with ya girls!!!!!
I go thru this crap all of the time with my son and the mother of my grandchildren..
I've made up my mind that my main concern and priority is my 2 grandchildren . The other 2 so called adults can take care of themselves!!!
Funny to not hear a thing , but, boy if they need something we are the first ones to be called. And never a how are you & dad doing!!!
I've completely changed my attitude and believe me, it wasn't easy!

This is really *funny* in a way---KIDS!!!!!

When I had this *virus* my daughter Lynn was to *tired* to hear what had happened to me!!!
DUH!!!

Yup the phone will be buZzin when we get home and gramps will be *taxi-in* again---

Dee you hit it on the nail head....they only call when there is something to brag about or ask you for.....I was soooo mad. Still agravates me amd makes my dander stand up. I taught them better believe me.
Barbara has had this type of treatment forever. I am writing her (Irefuse to call her right now (new # was enclosed in the letter) that It doesn't cost that much to call, 6 months no word or pics is 6 mos too long.

Hi everybody,

We're back from the south. It's cold here!

Have to tell you it's not just the youngsters. My daughter in law called her father the other night and found out he'd had his gall bladder removed. He hadn't called her because he didn't want to bother her about "routine surgery"! Aaaaack. Fortunately all went well and he is fine.
