Met the surgeon...

He was awesome! Told me by viewing my films odds are 90% it is fine (that was better than the 80% that the radiologist told me...) he was VERY understanding about how stressed I was having to wait all of this out - he had his receptionist make some calls while he was examining me, and they were able to get me in for the biopsy tomorrow!!! Said he would call me by noon Monday with results - if by chance he gets them late Friday, he will call then!

He is also familiar with MC (being a colo-rectal guy as well) and mentioned it can be a tough diagnosis to get, and commented I had a very thorough GI! I told him who made the diagnosis, and that I got it only 6 months after my symptoms began - he was shocked (in a good way!)!

So by Monday, I will be able to move ahead, since we will know what is what...

WOW!! Now that is a doctor that is on the ball and really knows how to genuinely treat his patients and how to put them at ease. Glad he got you in so soon. I am sure he understands very well how stress works with this disease and wanted to eliminate excess worry for you. Ask him if he is willing to be cloned.
