Well lets see what she has to do/and better get it doing!!!
Because,not to be repeating myself, that Iron infusion really has me miserabel
ThanKfully my urine is good---BUT the rest of my body *had* been aching like crazy--and my fatigue is more FATIGUED I swear--I really mean that-- and I am FREEZING???

If SOMEBODY doesnt come up with something I shall be back here and SCREAM!!

We better NOT just have a consult --we better get to TREATMENTS!!

I hate feeling this way---takes the *sunshine* outta everything--

Of course the big *D* isnt the best but this isnt too much better--
In bed all the time---energy to do ZIP!!!

And then of course my ususal-- cus I get *scared--upset and my mind takes over*!!

Hi Barbara,

I went back and read some of the posts about this that you made in late April, but I couldn't find where you ever said what kind of iron infusions you were getting. If you are getting infusions of iron dextran (Dexferrum or InFed), you need to see if your doctor would be willing to switch to sodium ferric gluconate complex in sucrose, (Ferrlecit), or iron sucrose, (Venofer). Ferrlecit or Venofer are just as effective as iron dextran, and generally have fewer side effects, (plus, they're safer, to boot).

You seem to be having some pretty serious side effects, and they normally shouldn't be that significant. Typically, only about 10% of patients given iron dextran even have side effects.

I'm somewhat concerned about your statement that you are "freezing". Are you monitoring your blood pressure? Low body temp is a symptom of hypothyroidism, (not hyperthyroidism), so something else could be going on here. Feeling cold can also be caused by anemia, hypoglycemia, or several other things. If your blood pressure is low, (today), your doctor should be made aware of it.

I hope your visit to your endo doc today is productive, and you start feeling much better, soon.

Wayne and OMA-----thats was the very first time I had a reaction to the Venefer---

and U will when U read that I am HYPER!!!!

Hell I dont know what I am---where I am---but I know WHO I am----

Told U ---I have to had been turned inside up and outside down!!!

Oh well----what fun would I be if I were NORMAL---
