I hope you get some satisfactory answers from your doctor, because those are not normally listed as side effects for methimazole, (Tapazole). If I remember right, that's what you're taking as a treatment.
Those symptoms may be connected with the iron issue.

P S We had rain yesterday afternoon and evening, too.
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
While I think about it - was Lou able to solve the problem with the CA EZ-Antivirus refusing to install properly? Since then, I had a problem with it not working correctly with Vista on one computer, so I bought a copy of PC-cillin, by Trend Micro. It works beautifully. It installed without a hitch, and I didn't change any of the default settings. It never stumbles, never balks, automatically updates correctly, and seems to be fast and trouble-free. I may stick with it on all my computers, after the current CA antivirus installations expire.
The version I bought is called PC-cilllin Internet security. It can be used on up to three PCs, (the price was around $30), and it comes with a built-in spyware program that has already caught one spyware program that Spybot Search & Destroy missed, (and Spybot is an excellent spyware detection program).
Just thought I'd mention that, in case the CA antivirus is still acting up. It seems that some computers just don't like certain antivirus programs, no matter how hard you try to make it work.

Galahad
