I have a new little friend. She is a very, very cute kitten. I have called her Charly. She is just 6 weeks old & a real character. She has fallen in love with a little step/stool that I use to reach my higher kitchen cupboards etc. I had it in my computer room so that I could read what was happening with my new printer/scanner/copier. It is up on a shelf & I am not that tall. Well she has just taken it over for some reason & as soon as she comes into this room she climbs up on to it & usually goes straight to sleep. She loves her scratching post too, with it's bright pink ball attached.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
She is lovely, Liz. So nice to have a new friend. I see on the tv (the Australian Open) that Melbourne is getting rain. Are you getting some, too? It's quit a tennis tournament, isn't it? this cat kind of looks like Charly.
I think she is the cutest thing ever & she has already taken over as boss in this house.
We have had a lot of rain but need more to fill the dams. Apart from that though, most of Queensland is under water. We are Ok(at the moment) but other places have real problems & have been declared disaster areas.
But of course, this is the land of drought & flooding rains as it says in the poem.
Love
Liz
