It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Thank you all for the good wishes and comments and Barbara for the lovely card.
I'm afraid it hasn't been the greatest of birthdays. I didn't even get a chance to check the board except for early yesterday.
The friend I posted about before with pancreatic cancer is very near the end now. We were there for a good share of yesterday and then we spend the biggest part of last night going to Orlando Airport, picking up 2 people who came in an hour apart, then the drive home. Neither of us could sleep afterward so we are rather "zombilike" today. I need to make some food to take up there but having trouble getting started.
Anyway, I imagine whatever celebrating we do for my birthday will happen in a week or so but that's OK.
Thank you all again. You are all such a great bunch of people.
Love, Shirley
