The PARTY!!!!!!

Anyway----Louie's cousin Dan's daughter----who was married and then divored--after quite a few years---which also produced 2 kids--now both in COLLEGE---informed her dad--Dan---about 2 years back----that she was in LUVE again----
Well Dan being so xcited--asked *how wonderful--who is HE?!!!
Diane replies, Dad, its a SHE!!!
Dan has a very closed *mind*--and was like
Dan to Diane---*maybe U should see a priest--maybe its a phase and a million other *reasons*---
Diane to Dad---*no dad--its the most happiest feeling I have ever had and I hope U can accept this---
Of course I understand Dan's feelings--and who know how I would feel but ya know what---Diane is *glowing* and for those who are appauled * by this --then its their issue---

What made me shiver is that her name is DENA--which is one of the daughters that Dan lost due to a motorocycle accident---
Dena is in with a band---drummer---and they are lead in for some well known groups---
Dena has moved in with Di---her son Jason--was very gracious and said *mom, if this makes u happy--I am with U--Jason being away @ college --I gather makes it easier for him too--
Her daughter is totally humiliated and moved in with the dad --

So a few of us were chosen to meeet @ Di's house --which is awesome--but there is $$$$ in the family---
And dont forget waaaaaaay back when we were first married---Dan-Noreen--me and Lou--bought a 2 family house and shared out happy times--all the kids that came along---and then after 5 years we bought our own places--

The party--which was to be small turned out to be about 75 peoples---plenty of food--drinks--
A few of Di's family werent invited cus they are totally *ashamed* and Dena;s mom feels the same --so she didnt come either--
Di's brother and SIL didnt show but all the rest of the kids came and it was really wonderful--Di's friends from school---Dena
s friend--everyone just made it a delightful night--
I heard that in another *year* there will be a ceremony uniting them-so it was a very nice time---Deb and Lynn have always been close with the girls cus each was born within 3 months of each other--of course Dan and Noreen had 6 kids--losing 2 girls--and Lou and I had but the 3


All of Dan;s kids are just gorgeous--and son Danny is just a hunk--if I say so my self-
So I guess we will soon be @ a reunion of these 2 and I wonder what it will be like--

I luve them all----We spoke of Noreen with the kids and to this day---they say---*Barb--U and mom were both crazy--hahahah--and how U 2 always made us laugh---
So it was JUST a birthday party for 2 people in luve and thats all I can add--

No gifts----but we gave each of the girls a rose--which was our gift of luve --that they have a life filled with many happy years--

And good for you for the attitude you have towards Diane and her friend!!
I feel the same way!!
We are not put here to judge others and life is too short to deny anyone happiness..

Barb is sounds like you had a good time at the party! That is awesome!
I have to admit the way you write does crack me up and it was nice to smile.
I would have to agree that to each person their own and who is one person to judge another and say their passion/love/life doings are not appropriate. I myself have always been an open minded person and have always felt that my beliefs, thoughts, judgments, actions are based upon *my* personality, experience, life and when you walk a mile in another person's shoes--- it may be different, so why judge someone and not just accept them for who they are.

Well I must say that you never go to a dull party. With you there, how could it be?

Congrats to the two of them and it is not for anyone to judge including parents. Life is too short to get all upset about something that makes other people happy.

The rose was an awesome gift.
