Yes, our neighborhood was the best of the best--
We all moved in around the same time--(new development)
And it was where U could just walk over--tap @ the door and there started the day--
Our kids all went from grammer--right to high--
Someone was always *handy* to do a favor---and Lou--being he was mechanically in the know---when a call went out for help there he went--
We always started the seasons with Memorial day---right thru to Christmas--
and even if there be NO holiday someone always started (during the summers) to have a party--
The older of the kids watched the younger---doors were open---the kids would yell--Mrs. G. going into ya house to get something!!!
Each Bar-B-Q- had to have a special name---one year we had Italian Day---and each house made something Italian--then it was Hawaii---
Could U imagine freezing ones driveway---so that we could all Ice Skate---awesome--this family had 9kids--
Can U just hear us practicing Xmas carols and then ringing doorbells and singing---yup we did bring tears to peoples
OOH---the best---we formed a baseball team--the wives against the hubs--went down to the school grounds and had our games on Saturdays--
Needless to tell U that *us ladies got slaughtered* and we used to say to the hubs--*give us a break--they would slam the ball waaaaaaay out and U had to see us trying to throw a ball to tag them---
I could go on and on---but I think U can picture what I have described!!!
It was a blast---and seeing Bob---and then Patty and her hub ED----was a thrill---I really was liked a kid---saying * I dont believe it*
We all shared the good times---we supported each other in the *sad* times of our lives--
I thought U would get a kick outta reading some of this--
Have a great day--
