We'll probably have a casual get together. No fireworks, though - it's too dry for that. We might burn up the entire corn crop, and half the countryside.

I'm sure you're right about Mr. L. Not only will he paint those gates, but after he gets through with them, I'll bet they'll open a lot easier, and they'll never have a squeaky hinge.

I hope the weather cooperates, so that you can enjoy your 4th without having to keep one eye on the sky, (except for fireworks, of course, but you'll want to use both eyes for that anyway).
