Update on Ill mannered daughter and the Barn

Post by annie oakley »

Howdy my friends! Well after a week or so, Mike and I have decided to just put all the nonsense with Heidi on the Back Burner. I and Mike have gone from really :angrymail: to calm and we didn't do this. My Oldest son heard about it and was totally upset that his sister feels that way about him too. But he is very laid back about it and agrees to just not let it get to us. She is on the :shithead: list for awhile tho. Saturday and sunday we have asked a few of the famliy to come over for a BBQ and a wall raising. We are putting up the Tin on the east and North wall and the roof. That's all we have money for this month, but it won't take long to save for the rest of the supplies.
We do not want to owe a credit card or bank so we save up til we have enough to get some supplies and build then save again. :elephant: Well I better go and get the buscuits stared for supper, since I make them from scratch I make a big mess usually, Love to all :bigbighug: :pulsinghearts:

Hi Oma,

It sounds like you're making good progress on the barn, and the weather this weekend should be just about right for that kind of work.

I never learned to make scratch biscuits, but watching those who are good at it, I don't recall ever seeing anyone do it without making a pretty good-sized mess. It seems that nothing really good is ever easy, and to make the best food, you usually have to make the biggest mess. LOL.

Love,
Tex

Hi Oma:

Glad to hear that things are starting to mellow out. I speak from experience in the area of the child you CAN NOT please no matter what you try or do.

Sometimes we just have to "Let go and Let God" handle the situation. It's not easy to do when you love your children dearly yet you deserve to be respected even if a child decides that your a piece of shi* on their shoes.

When their behavior and attitude is compounded with possibly misuse of prescription drugs, street drugs and even alcohol then you are NO LONGER talking to a reasonable individual. Infact you're talking to an individual who is on a very distructive course. If you allow them to take you with them on this run away train then you will loose the person you yourself are.

Oma, you are a loving and caring mother, grandmother and wife. You deserve some peace. Don't let Hiedi's distructive path bring you down. There will come a time hopefully in the future that she will truly realize just how much she's hurt her parents and her family and when that realization comes you will know when it is once again safe to step back into her life.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi

Dear Oma,

My mother had six children. I am the youngest. I have this one sister who sounds alot like your daughter. She is 45 years-old and thinks the world owes her. She went years without speaking to my mother and blamed her for all this nonsensey stuff. Mind you, we were all raised the same. The last couple of years, they have become closer and my sister is just using my mother and she doesn't even see it. It is so frustrating. Families, huh? There is always one person causing trouble!!!

I'm still somewhat new to this potty club, but I can feel in my heart that you are an awesome person and a great mother! Don't let her drain your energy on the negative. If she is like my sister, she is only looking for attention. And she will be the only one that can help herself.

What is the barn for? Horses? Something fun? It sounds like it's going to be alot of fun having everyone over to help work on it! You'll have to post a pic of it soon!

Angy, you cracked me you cracked me up!!!! That's an Idea. But she has a wicked sense of humor and would catch on quick.
The Barn is going to be 3/4 house and the rest and electrical shop. We decided not to build a house, but instead an apt in the barn. And then a club house behind the barn with a kitchen and bathroom and den.
I just hope it doesn't rain.
Love ya'll Oma
