New Restaurant with GF Menu
Okay, not a "new" restaurant, I should say old restaurant with a new gf menu.
My husband and I ate at Olive Garden over the weekend and they now have a very limited, but published gluten free menu. The waitress had obviously been trained about it (or she happens to understand gluten free living from personal experience) and even brought my husband a separate plate of crutons for his salad.
I emailed them to let them know how much I appreciated that, but that I'd love to see the menu expanded. They have so many dishes that come with risotto, that ought to be easily adapted to gf. They responded in a form manner and didn't say whether they are looking at other menu options to add or not. There were only 3 entrees...a steak, a pork, and a salmon.
But a good meal out is still a good meal out.

hi Katy---
I have noticed that many places are re-arranging their menus so that peoples --with health issues --can sit and enjoy a meal---without suffering the consequences of the mad dash!!!
Happy U had a good meal---

Katy,
Thanks for the info. I don't eat out very often these days, but it's great to have another option, because many of these small towns around here don't have very many GF options, (if they have any at all).
Thanks,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Other restaurants with GF menus:
Outback and all their affiliates- very extensive
Carrabas Itialian Grill and they also own one more
Chillis- decent menu with a good number of choices
PF Changs- my absolute favorite!!! Tons of choices- gluten free soy sauces, mustards, etc
Picasso Pizza (arizona)
there are more that are just slipping my mind right now
