Been Busy

Post by Dee »

My sister from Michigan is coming to visit over Thanksgiving.
Sooooo, she emailed me with a request.
She' wanted 2- 20" topiaries made out of ivy.
That's what I've been up to the past few days.
Just used a 6" styrofoam craft ball & I used the small ivy so it took about 18' of the ivy per ball, plus what I wrapped around the dowels and what I put in with the moss in the terra cotta pots.
2 -1/2 inch dowels
2- 5" terra cotta pots (One I sponge painted using 3 different colors, The other pot I stenciled)
Then I put holly berries thruout the ivy.
I made them so they can be changed for the different seasons by just pulling out the holly berries and putting in whatever she likes for spring, summer, fall, winter.
Plus, I decided to make her a Holiday glass globe light that I glued red & white beads to that left a frosted look.
Then I put a wood mounted flame looking light as the base and put a Holiday candle wreath over the wood with the light and the tall globe sits in the middle. NEAT!!!!!
Now that my projects are all done, I can start getting ready for :turkey: Day...

Dang! You sure have been busy! It sounds like you've got a real talent for that sort of creativity. Good for you.

Morning Dee,

Definitely busy and I know the time and effort you put into it. I do floral designs, topiaries, and wreaths/sprays in spare time for anyone who needs them. It is something that I absolutely love to do and consider it so creative and relaxing. I am sure she will enjoy them.

Love, Maggie
