Kind of like food allergies.

When I discovered that I was allergic to penicillin, I told my DH that it looked like I had chicken pox and measles.

I have an appt. tomorrow with my PCP ..
What I find so odd is that with each new day, they are in different places from the day before.
Like yesterday, right down where the ankle meets the top of the foot, there they were and one was raised. Some up my legs.
Today, all over the chest area and between breasts and belly button. Slightly raised.
Scattered on my arms and a few on my legs. Some are raised, some aren't!!
Leave it to me to get whatever!! iF it's out there I am one to surely get it!!  :monkey:
Off to start some pre prep for Thanksgiving.. :ChefStirringPot:

Could you have shingles? I don't think they're always painful.

Dee,

Let us know the diagnosis. It is typical for hives to migrate around the body. Strange, huh? But usually they are quite itchy.

Mine disappeared exactly the way they appeared, face first etc.

My Dad put me on Benadryl and Prednisone.

Good luck, it does sound like you have hives.

Gloria,
I had shingles before I was 5 years old.
And I have the scars to prove it.
I am scarred from my belly button to the right, all the way around to the middle of my back.
I don't remember the severity of them, but my sisters have told me I was a mess.
Back then all they had was calamine lotion to put on them.
I think if it was shingles they would be full blown by now.

Polly,
Some of them have itched and others haven't.
I'll give you the update this afternoon.

Love

Dee,
I had shingles as a youngster too. Weird! Time for a new poll? I have scars around my midsection too.
Let us know what you find out.

Well, as I expected, trying to distinquish the different kinds of skin reactions, It could either be hives or an allergic reaction to something, but the stumper has been that only a few ever made feel like I wanted to itch.
So, I have a prescription for Allegra, which is taken once a day.
I decided to go to my PCP because with Thanksgiving coming up, I kept thinking, what if I wake up on Thursday morning and my eyes are swelled shut or Angelina Jolie's lips?????? Her lips just wouldn't look right on my little face!!

Thanks to all for your input!!

Dee, I just read Sally's drug section here on PP regarding Entocort. It lists hives.......... I think you said you were taking it. I should read here with a pen and paper by my side.

I hope your red blotches are disappearing.

Thanks Joan, but if I was going to have a reaction to the Entocort, it would have happened about 3 years ago..
I'm still suspecting a change from another med now being sent to me thru my prescription mail order carrier.
The Allegra does seem like it is helping a bit.

I hope you can figure out what the culprit is.

Pat,
I remember Alicia! I was in a ricketty old upstairs apartment during that whole episode alllllll by myself.
You talk about hair raising! I was at my parents' home in the 60's when Carla came through, and actually enjoyed that family time together. (We got out of school for that one! Ha!) Funny how we change when we get older, isn't it.
PM me to talk about Houston if you want to. That would be fun!
Yours, Luce
