Company is Gone

Post by Dee »

And my @$$ is draggin!!!!
Seemed like I was on my feet for 3 days!!!!!
Thanksgiving was a great success and as usual since cooking for an army, I fed them leftovers!!!
I did hours of crafts with my great neice and my grandchilden . They had a blast!!!! We made little elves out of small terra cotta pots with round wooden heads , felt for their hats and around their necks, and for their arms and mitten. Then gave each one of them the glittered bottle paints with the fine tip and let them decorate the felt. Glued the googly eggs on them and the little round wooden nose. Then I stenciled their cheeks to look like they were blushed. Then drew a mouth with a fine tip marker.
Too cute.
Then we made reindeer using 3 wooden hearts that I painted brown, then hot glued 2 of the hearts together , right side up and the botton one was upside down. Hot glued the googly eyes on them and the red fluffy nose on. Made a red & green bow to put between the two heart shapes at the top and then hot glued ribbon so they can hang them on their Christmas trees.
The 3rd craft was a 15" shovel that I left them paint and I stenciled snowflakes all over the shovel and they had glued, backed foamies of snow angels and snowmen that they could place on the shovels.
Tied red and green ribbon where the wooden dowel part of the shovel met the handle.
Then I just cut out snow flakes on white foamie paper and then decorated them with different colored rhinestones.
Kids love to do crafts and love to come to Aunt Nee's and Grandma's to do them.
So tonight is a kick back and chill night!!!! I should sleep like a rock!!!

Love
Dee~~~~

You sure had a busy weekend. Your crafts sound great! My oldest grand is only 4, so I have a few years before I begin crafting with them. I'll need some ideas by then. Right now, the oldest two are happy baking cookies, which sounds a lot easier.

Dee,

You really outdo yourself at those family gatherings. No wonder you're tired. I hope you can sleep late, tomorrow morning.

Love,
Tex
