Hi Tex-I'm one of the deleted

Post by JoAnn »

Hi Tex, I'm the JoAnn that was deleted by the hacker. I sent a message earlier, but I don't know if I was deleted at the time! Anyway, I've reregistered and I'm back.
I joined last week while you were gone. What an amazing site this is! Everyone is so helpful and eager to help. I was feeling so discouraged, but since finding you people, my attitude and spirit has been renewed. Right now I'm on the Pepto bismol routine (Asacol previously). I didn't think it was working, but now I think it might be. I'm being cautiously optimistic-time will tell. It's so good to know about the GF diet and that there are other options if this one doesn't work. Nice to meet you and thanks for all the support. JoAnn

Hi JoAnn,

It's nice meeting you, too, and I appreciate your patience, and the fact that you re-registered, and again, I apologize for the extra trouble you had to go through to do that. I responded to your original topic, and your "Noticed a problem" topic, about some of the details involved with your original posts.

I trust your doctor advised you that you can only take the Pepto treatment, (at 8 tablets per day, or the equivalent), for about eight weeks total. After that, there's a risk of a toxic buildup of bismuth in the body. That's why it's a good idea to begin the GF diet now, so that your intestinal damage will have some time to heal, before the treatment period ends. Without the GF diet, most MC patients find that a few weeks after completing the Pepto-Bismol treatment, their symptoms usually return.

Thanks for the kind words about our site, and welcome to our online family. I truly hope that you can find the information you need here to get your life back, as soon as possible.

Hi Ren,

I'm glad you're back, and I appreciate you re-registering. I "think" that I have re-linked your previous posts with your profile, so that they are correct. If you cannot see all of the posts that you made, or you see anything else wrong, please let me know, and I will attempt to correct it. Otherwise, I believe that we're now back to where we were before the incident, and hopefully everything will go smoothly, from here on.

Thanks,
Tex
