Woo Hoo!!! I`m baaaack!!!!!

Hi everyone,
As most of you know, my computer died. I know Tex will know what blown capacitors means....I didn`t until I was shown.
Our wonderful, generous daughter, Lori, surprised us with a new Dell the other day. A little early, but for our anniversity, which is Christmas Eve. 50 years this time.
She knew I was so lost without some means of communication. I never used to want a computer but once I had one and then didn`t, it was like losing an old friend.
I am so happy to be back with my PP family! I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to a great Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate.

Hi Carol,

Congratulations! And I'm glad that your daughter came up with the perfect gift, to get you back on line. Yep, blown capacitors means that the motherboard is dead, which probably wouldn't be worth trying to replace or repair, once a computer is a few years old.

I'm sorry that I was in a bad place for having a phone conversation when you called, (on the road, heading to Florida), and I've been expecting you to call again, but I see that you found a better solution, (a new computer).

That's great, and it's definitely nice to see you back here again.

Thank you all for the kind words and hang in there, Hotrod, you will be celebrating your Golden Anniversary before you know it. Time really does fly!
BTW, why did we get married at such an inconvenient time? Lori wanted to throw a big party for us but no one would come...too busy this time of year. We have never even been able to go out to dinner ON our Anniversary because everything closes early. LOL, it`s been wonderful, anyway. Love, Carol

Carol,

Congrats on 50 years. My oldest son and daughter-in-law will be celebrating 25 years on the same day. When they chose to get married Xmas eve (in the evening) we told them to chose another day. They did it because out of town folks could get cheaper airfares (we lived in Alaska at the time).

Anyway, 50 years is a great achievement. Enjoy your special day (and the new computer).
