I found some Borzoi pups that are blue! One is blue with white and the other is white with blue. I can't reach the breeder yet other than email. I'm afraid she might want show prices for them. We'll see......

Cool...I have a soft spot for Blue paintjobs, our foundation bitch of Bunnygetter was a blue brindle whippet, and the 16 year old daughter out of her that I just lost to old age last month was also a blue....

Keeping fingers crossed that you get a new critter kid...

What a difference a day makes....I 'm chickening out with a puppy and thinking older. The same breeder has a small red and white three year old bitch who has been a house dog. I am presuming that means housebroken. YEA!

I was just talking to a Borzoi show lady (sister of DH's golf buddy) but we got disconected.

Three is a good age...they have most of the silliness out by then ( having a VERY high maintenance 6 month old Keaton around here, I can vouch for the amount of energy a Sighthound pup takes)

Hope it works out for you....

Now I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the prey drive and if our cat would be safe.......I am so torn.

I found this just a while ago http://www.mielikkishunt.com/cattraining.htm

Prey drive can be controlled, my whippets and greyhound play in a yard with 3 cats and 7 chickens wandering around in it. And these are all lure coursing dogs that are prey crazy. I just taught them that cats are hens are off limits for coursing...not that hard to do, if you stick with it...

I sent you two PM's. I guess I should have been doing that all along instead of taking up bbs space and boring the others....

I wouldn't say you bored others. I have to admit when you put your first message out there I didn't know what type of dogs those were so it gave me the chance to learn something new. I have a miniature schnauzer and she will chase anything in our backyard, including the cat. When we first brought her home (she was a rescue dog) the cat was in the tree several times. Then one time they went behind the woodpile and now the dog gives the cat lots of room.

Good luck with whatever decision you make. They sure look like graceful dogs.

Thanks, Jan. We had one years ago when my girls were young. Tara, Winding Hollow's Tara Blanca, was the love of our lives.
