How do I remove the quick edit button?

Did you notice that I was able to add soy to my intolerances? No problems this time. Yea.

Removing the "Quick Edit" button is not a user-selectable option, unfortunately. I would have to remove it for everyone, which I can certainly do, if the majority of users agree. I can certainly live without it, if enough members feel the same way. It's not as handy as it used to be, because when the last security upgrade to the code was made about a year ago, it changed the way this feature works, so that you still have to submit the change a second time, as if you were using the regular Edit function. Because of that, I've been using the regular edit option, most of the time.

I'm glad that making that addition to your intolerances list worked OK. I fixed a bug in that feature about six months or so ago, as I recall, because it wasn't working properly, at the time.

You don't have it on your posts and a lot of other PP don't either.

It's really NOT a big deal if it stays there.

I can see it on everyone's posts, so there must be something in your browser preventing you from seeing it on some posts. It might even be a cookie problem, IOW, you may need to clear your cookies, so that the system will have to set a new one on your computer. Some other features might not be showing up in your browser.

It has to log you out, because it can't remove the cookie while you are logged in. Without a cookie, the system would have to treat you as an anonymous viewer, anyway, and it can't set a valid cookie, unless you try to log in, again. As long as you remain logged in, it has to use the same old cookie.
