Is It Too Late To Set Up A Chat For Monday? :gathering:
Hi all,
Is it too late to schedule a chat for Monday evening, say at 8 pm Eastern time, 7 pm Central, 5 pm Pacific time? I believe this would be at 10 am in Brisbane, Australia, on Tuesday morning, and 1 am, Tuesday morning, in Edinburgh, Scotland, in case anyone there is able to join in.
We might be able to start an hour earlier, if that would help anyone "across the pond". Let me know, if you would like to see that time changed.
We'll see you there, if you have some time to visit.
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Sure. It's set so that login is automatic. All you have to do is click on the "Chat" link, toward the top of the page. It's a good idea to try it ahead of time, to make sure that it loads correctly. The chat runs on Java, so if it doesn't load for you, you may need to update your version of Java. Sometimes it takes a while to load, the first time that you access it, but after that, it should load in just a few seconds.
Once there, you'll see the usernames of anyone present, in the column to the right, (under the heading "Online"), and the messages will appear in the larger window to the left. You can type your message in the long narrow window below there, and either click on the "Send" button, or hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard, to post a message. You may have to click on that message-composing window first, in order to get the cursor to show up there, so that you can key in your message.
The row of icons just above the message-composing window will allow you to do various things, such as add smilies and/or sounds to your message, change the font size, clear the display, turn the timestamp on or off, turn the audio on or off, etc. If you click on the "Float & Dock" icon, you can latch onto the chat window, and drag it anywhere you prefer, on your screen. Clicking on the "?" icon will bring up a page of instructions on using the chat, but disregard the info about logging on - your username will be the same as your username on the board. If you click on the last icon on the right, (with the little green arrow pointing to a door), the system will log you out of the chat. If someone types your username in a message, your computer will beep, to alert you about the message.
And least, but not least, don't sweat the typos, they just add to the fun.

Liz and Angy,
We'll have another chat next Monday, if that will work for you. If we schedule it at 8 pm Eastern time, 7 pm Central, 6 pm Mountain time, and 5 pm Pacific time, that should be at 10 am in Brisbane, Australia, on Tuesday morning, and 1 am, Tuesday morning, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Will that work? If not, we'll try to find a better time.
Love,
Wayne
