OMG! I Really Hate Michigan Right Now!?*&%#@

Post by jodibelle352 »

I can not believe the temperature difference from yesterday and today. It actually got up to 61* yesterday and today the highest it's been is 32*.

There is NO doubt in my mind that many many Michiganders are going to be forking over BIG bucks to their Family Physicians this week. OMG! I'm feeling like I need a head transplant. The one I have attached right now does NOT want anything to do with my body. LOL

One minute I'm freezing, the next I'm to warm. Now I can hardly breathe through my nose. Now if God made all of us with a nose to breathe then I say;"Leave my nose ALONE!"

Just can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. If it's anything like today I'm packing my bags and leaving. Just as soon as I'm well enough to travel.

You would not believe this. Just 4 days ago we had 12inches plus of snow on the ground. Last night we actually had rain with thunder and today the snow is GONE!!!!!!!!! I purposely left the snow to pile on the deck so when Bailey was here we could go out and build a snowman on our deck. This to me was the perfect thing for Bailey and Gramma to do. :pigtail: Let me tell you, she is NOT going to be a happy camper when she comes over tomorrow and sees that there is NO snow to build a snowman when I've already told her that's what we were going to do. 4 yr. olds just don't understand that what we sometimes receive can be taking away JUST LIKE THAT!

I'm just venting and now I'm going to go back to my lazy boy and relax for the rest of the evening with the hopes that at some time soon I will once again feel like a human being.

Love and God Bless:

JODIBELLE, Feel Better Soon

Post by JLH »

Are you the same person who sent me the email "Gotta Love Michigan!!!!Amen"?

Buckeyes don't love Michigan......it's a rule.

Hope your weather improves and ours, too. Yesterday it was sunny and in the low 70's, today all gray and colder.

Jodi,

We are so dry in my part of Texas that I would take any drop of rain or snow that you sent this way. We've also had the extremes (minus the moisture). It was 80 the day after Christmas and today in the mid 50s. Go figure.

Hi Jodi!
Do you still have power??
I just read where there was well over 200,000 without power in Michigan.
My sister works for DTE Energy in Detroit, and I haven't heard from her, so I'm assuming that she has been assigned storm duty.
Hope you and hubby are okay.

Love

When we returned Friday from Utah (they had 18" of snow), we figured that we wouldn't be able to get up our driveway because of all the snow in Illinois. Much to our surprise, someone shoveled our driveway and even brought our paper to the front door. No one so far has admitted to shovelling it, so I guess it will always remain a mystery. DH has regularly used our snowblower to do neighbors' driveways and sidewalks, so it could be one of them.

By Saturday afternoon, all the snow was melted and it was raining. There are reports of flooding because the ground is frozen. Temperature was 59 degrees. Today, it's 28 degrees. Monday it was 5 below. Is this a crazy winter or what?

Dee:

Both David and I are doing fine except for our sinusis driving us crazy because of our weather.

The reason you may be unable to contact your sister is because she is probably one of the 200,000 without power. From the news reports anyone in Oakland and Huron Counties are the ones heavily affected.

Last night as I said before we had power surges all night long until about 6a.m. I was up and down all night long resetting David oxygen concentrator.

Since we live almost directly in the thumb of the state what we are watching very closely is the flash flooding. We've had so much snow and now the rain that some of the rivers around us are cresting. Especially the Cass River that runs right through the town of Vassar where we live and in past years we've had many many floods where every store down town was under water.

Sorry I didn't answer right away. I really haven't been feeling very well and have been curled up with my pillow and blanket most of the day. This change in weather is kicking my butt. I'm also sure that being on the Entocort has alot to do with how and if I'm able to fight off some of these bugs that are going around. I do my best to stay away from sick people but one does have to go to the store for groceries and other things now and then so it's hard to completely protect yourself. Hopefully tomorrow things will ease up and I'll be feeling better.

My sister called me this morning.
It seems that the phone service of AT&T were the ones with the problems.

Hi Dee:

I thought maybe your sister might be in the mix of the power outage. I hope things are going to be okay soon. Did she say when power would be restored to the area?

Gave in today by David being very pushy and went to see the Doc for my sinusis infection. He didn't give me much choice; went to the bathroom and when I came out he said your apt. is at 3:50p.m. and you only have 45min. to get your AS@#$%#$^^&*^^% over there! Sure would like to know what bug crawled up his butt and made him King Kong? LOL

Anyway, Doc gave me some Nasalcort and a perscription for a Z-Pak which I hope doesn't give me the D. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not really very fond of yogart but it's one of the best things to take to prevent D and suposedly something that won't hurt my tummy.

I did gain another 1/2 lb and now am at 99lbs. Yeah me! I was really hoping to break 100lbs by New Years but with not feeling the best my appitite isn't the greatest. Besides I can't smell or taste anything I'm eating. LOL Good Old Sinusis weather here in Michigan.

You have a great time in Florida Sweety and we'll have a nice chat when you return.

Love and God Bless:
