Can you believe it? My computer was purchased 12-13 and yesterday it crashed. After talking to someone in India for 2 hours it was determined that my hard drive was corrupted.
I thought I was going to have to wait at least a week to get it repaired but surprisingly they were able to do it today. It took him less than 10 minutes to install a new hard drive. Guess you just have to know what you are doing.
I thought that was a good reason to miss the non-chat. I was really looking forward to it, too.
I hope everyone has a Happy New Year and that the coming year brings many, many remissions. Love, Carol

Hi Carol,
They keep building hard drives bigger, (that is, larger storage capacity), cheaper, and they spin them faster, (so that they can get faster response times), and as a result, they're not as reliable as they used to be. For many years, I never had a hard drive failure. Then last year, one quit on me, and since then, I've had another one fail. Both of them were only a few months old, when they quit working. I have computers of all ages, including one or two that are over 10 years old, that I use fairly regularly, and I've never had a hard drive failure in any of them, (the failures were in my newest computers).
I guess the moral of that story is that newer is not always better. Hopefully, that new computer will straighten out and fly right, now.
Happy New Year.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
