WHEW - back to normal I think!

Post by Mars »

HI everyone!

I thought I would take a few minutes to post since I've mostly been reading these last few weeks.

Trisha and the boys just left, they've been here since December 26th. It was a wonderful visit and I cried when they left but WOW = the house is quiet again with Larry and I the only ones here! lol

We had a nice Christmas and New Year. Christmas day was spent with Nichole and Jordan since Nichole had to work the 26th. Trisha and the boys came in on the 26th and we had Christmas all over again! The Saturday after Christmas we had a family dinner at Larry's dads and enjoyed seeing all the family.

New Year's was spent at home playing Trouble with Bryce! For those of you who don't know, Bryce is our oldest grandchild (8 years old) and is smart as a whip! He is so much fun being around. Eddie is a year old now but he isn't walking yet. He has a funny sense of humor and is fun watching him mimic everyone and being silly. He sure loves his grandpa. He is friendly towards everyone and a very good baby.

We spent an evening with Larry's sister and her family and played cards and Pictionary. New Year's Day we spent with my sister and her family and ate our traditional kraut and pork. YUMMY.

As you can see, we've been busy but had a relatively quiet holiday.

We head back to work this week. Things are not going real well there. Larry starts 3 day weeks - he works for a large supplier of Honda. The reduction in hours is a definite thru January and could last thru March. My job is really bad right now and sometimes I wish I could just quit. I have invested so much in that company but things have changed and not for the good. Such drama!

Today we are watching football and doing NOTHING! LOL

I'm thinking I have another kidney stone but on the other side. I sure hope not - I don't like being sick!

It sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas and New Year's! I'm so happy to be able to reflect on family and friends and know that mine is HUGE! You are all great!

Guess I've rambled on long enough. I'll check in later and hope to post more since the busy season is over (except for work that is). I'm hoping to not be working from home as much this year - we shall see..................

My love to all and many wishes for a safe, healthy new year!

Love,
Mars

Hi Mars,

Thanks for the update - been wondering what you were up to lately.

Yep, family and friends are everything, aren't they.

Love,
Tex

Your holidays sound wonderful. So glad you were with everyone and enjoying them.

It's always good to hear from you, Mars.

Sure hope that "kidney stone" turns out to be a phantom and not reality.

Welcome home Mars,

Your holiday sounds wonderful and over the years I have realized family and friends are the heart of the being. So envy you the time with the grandkids. Sure wish I could experience it more often and especially around the holidays.

Sorry about the working situation for both of you. Hope things improve but it is hitting every where.

Love, Maggie
