Dear Pat,

I am so sorry to hear that you had to make this decision so soon. In the long run, though, I am sure you did the right thing for her,

We kept one of our Shelties far too long and I have always felt guilty about that.

My prayers are with you and your family..I know the grief you will be feeling for quite some time. Love, Carol

Pat,

I am sitting here crying for you and your family and that you had to let one go. Yes, their eyes will tell you when it is time. We lost our Skeeter (Corky mix) a number of years ago and in the morning - he had been suffering for a while but still active - we asked him if he wanted us to take him to the house. He was laying at the end of the driveway on the farm. He just sadly looked at us and we told him that he was the best and had a long and happy life. We came home and he was gone. Never saw him again and searched the woods for days and weeks but he knew when it was his time. We still cry and miss him but will see him on the Rainbow Bridge as you will see Ginger some day.

My heart goes out to you.

Love, Maggie

Hi Pat:

Sorry to hear about Ginger but with time the hurt you are feeling at this time will ease and because of all the loving years Ginger had with you and your family you will have happy tears instead of all the sad tears.

She's now waiting for you on Rainbow Bridge just like my Blackie is waiting for me. Hopefully, they will become fast friends and help each other just like those of us on these boards.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi

Pat,
Many hugs to you in the loss of your friend. In time, maybe another friend will be blessed with your love and kindness!

Love,
Mars

Thank you all so very much for your sympathies.

I can tell that her son, Prince, is missing her. He will miss his daily ear washing too! He has the cleanest ears. Ginger would bathe him just like she did when he was a puppy!

I am so sorry, my heart goes out to you....

Here is something that my sister wrote after I lost one of our showdogs, it has always made me feel better, in fact it's on our website for our dogs, honoring the ones who have left us.

Hugs,
Carrie

Don't be sad because it ended, be glad because it happened - laugh at heartbreak and do it again! We are the wheel of life..... grab every moment and squeeze the happiness, joy, fun, and love out of it, let it pour across your life like a fine champagne. Use the bubbles to lift your spirit and be giddy with the exhilaration. As always, living fully in the moment takes courage and comes, at times, with sadness. Sadness is our joy turned inside out - we cannot have one without the other. We cannot live a full life without both. P.J. Raymond
