A Special Poem for Seniors

Post by annie oakley »

A row of bottles on my shelf
Caused me to Analyze Myself
One Yellow Pill I have to Pop
Goes to my Heart so it won't stop

A Little white one that I take
Goes to may hands so they won't shake
The blue ones that I use alot
Tell me I'm happy when I'm not

The purple pill goes to my brain
And tells me that I have no pain
The capsules tell me not to wheeze
Or cough or choke or even sneeze

The red ones smallest of them all
Go to my blood so I won't fall
The orange ones very big and bright
Prevent my leg cramps at night

Such an array of brilliant pills
Helping to cure all kinds of ills
But what I'd really like to know
Is what tells each one where to go

There's always alot to be thankful for
if you take the time to look for it
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice
it is that wrinkles don't hurt

Morning Oma,

Truer words were never spoken. Great poem for us seniors that they love to load up with pills. I too wonder how each knows where to go without bumping into each other.

Love, Maggie

I wish I knew how the little things (sometime large things) know exactly what to do to what. It's wierd. Same thing with shots, I had to have a shot for a nasty headache today.....Tell me what route that one took !!
My husband says that it;s a thing between Doctors and Drug companies to load seniors up, but I told him not all Doctors are the same. My Doctor is ver careful about the pills she gives me just as I am careful what I will accept. It is also a patients responsability too.
Well got to creep or what ever you call it .....to bed as tomorrow is a work day and the callers are cranky after the holidays Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!!!! Love Oma
