I had a great visit with her today. When I left, I hugged her and said, "You are amazing".
She listened to what I had to say and asked to make copies of the computer stuff I'd made for her.
I took the post that Camryn's Mommy had written about her doc wanting Laura to write a case study etc. Laura also talked about the diet.
I took a copy of my soy, yeast and eggs test. I took the Genetic Testing article by Dr. Liu recommending Dr. Fine's tests. I also took a bio of Dr. Liu.
My doc said she had another patient with MC who wasn't responding to Entocort and she was going to call her right away and recommend going GF.

Wow!
Good work!
I have to point out that to my knowledge, that is the first instance in recorded history, where any member of this board, (and possibly anyone in the entire world,
), has ended an appointment by hugging their GI doc.
It was clearly justified, though, obviously.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Camryn's Mommy's post I took to my GI
"Thanks everyone. She has had a really good couple of days and I think all of the Thanksgiving oops have made their way out of her system. It is just amazing though how well this gf diet works. If she accidentally eats something with gluten she gets clumps of mucus in her diarrhea. If gluten is not eaten at all, the stools are formed with no mucus. I just can't believe this isn't more widely known among the medical community. Camryn's Dr. suggested writing her up as a case study. I would do it if it meant that it would help other kids/adults that have this disease.

I sure hope GF diet works for her other patient. Then my doc can tell her three other partners although I don't know when she sees them. It seems as if they each get one certain day in the office (hers is Thursdays) and are in the hospital doing procedures the other days.
