drdeb--trigger finger

Post by hazel »

drdeb,

I read in one of your posts that you have just come up with a trigger finger. I got one (ring finger left hand) a year ago November. I don't know for sure, but think it may have come from too much crocheting--I made 2 large afghans for Christmas presents that year. Surgery seemed to be the only cure so I decided to wait and see if it would get better on its own. It took over a year, but it is much better. Only a little stiff now, no more clicking or getting stuck. I haven't done any more crocheting, but have been knitting. Anyway, my recommendation is patience!

Our grandchildren live in Atlanta so we spend quite a bit of time there. Looks like your weather is improving. Good luck with your many problems.

Hi There!!
My DH has trigger fingers and to avoid surgery, where there is no quarantee that it won't come back, he has chosen the cortisone shots. They really work and last a long time between episodes.
What we have found to be genetic is that his Mother and our son have them, too.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

My brother just had surgery for a "trigger finger." I occasionally can't move my fingers. At first it scared me, but now all I do is shake my hand and everything works fine. I probably don't have a severe case.
