Calling Joan

Post by barbaranoela »

I developed psoriasis about 20 years ago----all on my legs---but can U believe that the first Derma. I went to DIDNT know what I had--

I looked at him and asked--*are U kidding me---I even know what I have--called the *heartache of psoriasis*--DUH!!!

But it didnt last long and slowly healed??

Appeared again about 10 years back---found a new Derma. ---and have used megga stuff to control it---
Some worked--others didnt---at times it subsided without anything??
Now tis back in full force----!!!! STRESS!!! good guess as any

I am now using this stuff called Taclonex ($40.00) a fairly large tube but we seem to be at a stand still so when I get back home--we have an appointment with Dr. Maso and it will be discussion time again--

Thanks for the info about olive oil and hand cream----
Whats the formula ????
I had psoriatic arthritis on the thumb of my finger--got so bad that I had to have the NAIL removed--finger bones Xrayed cus it went too long ---so now I have a BUMPY finger nail  --

Right now I dont want to do anything on my own--until I see my derma.

Thanks again----all info appreciated
Barbara

The olive oil was already in the hand cream in both instances. The one from HSN is rather smelly but I don't remember that with the first one.

I saw where Liz (I think) talked about using udder balm. I have used that on some of my worst dry skin areas. I haven't ever been diagnosed with psorisis. You can get a lotion called Udder Balm (the jar is like a black and white cow) at even Walmart. It worked good on me. Know also that in the dry climate of AZ that it can aggravate your problem.
