Hi Liz,
My, it sounds like you live in an exciting neighborhood! I have a few in mine I could do without but I just try to live and let live.
Good luck with your surgery and I wanted you to know both you and your sister are in my prayers. Sounds like she is very lucky to have you. I`m sure you feel it is the other way around. Love, Carol

Hello Carol,
It is usually pretty quiet around here & even the traffic up the front has lessened a bit. I think that she has run low on customers
My sister is not traveling very well at the moment. They told her to eat lots of dairy products so I am making her a tiramisu. It will be a change from custard & rice pudding. She does love rice pudding but you can only eat so much.
Very bad problems in my family at the moment. Had bad news about my older sister's husband. He was told last week that he had prostrate cancer but after a nuclear scan is is found that it has metastasized and it is throughout his body. There is nothing that can be done for him. He is to have an operation to remove his testicles on Tuesday which is supposed to help in some way but then he will be just sent home. very sad.
Love

Liz,
I'm so very sorry to hear that bad news, too. That's almost unbelievable.
The reason for the operation is probably because of the fact that testosterone promotes the rapid development of prostate cancer.

Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Love and hugs Liz. You and your family will be in my prayers.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha

Hello All,
Thank you for your thoughts & prayers.
The operation was to make him more comfortable. He had to have a spinal anaesthetic.
He will be in hospital for about another 5 days. My sister thinks that he has known about it & not said anything to her. It would seem strange that it could be so advanced without at least one of his doctors twigging to it.
