Poem....

Post by Dee »

It's winter in Ohio
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Ohio
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Ohio

Cause I'm frozen to the ground! :penguinaspin:

Morning Dee,

I just loved the poem and it applies her too. However, today is to be 52 and tomorrow 61. Mother Nature is tricking us cause it ain't over yet for Old Man Winter.

Stay warm.

Love, Maggie

Love the poem Dee. I think I will send it to our daughter in New Zealand. I think that she could relate to that.

Dear Dee,
It's cold here too,
some inches of snow.
There's one thing that,
I'm dying to know:
I loved your photo,
with each thread I read.
I'd see your face,
when making your bread.
Where did you go?
I miss your smile
Will you repost it soon,
in just awhile?

Poem

Hi Dee,

I, too, loved your poem.

There is only one problem, though. Once your butt gets unfrozen so does the ground. UGH!!!! To add to the problem of mud here, we had a tree trimmer come in last fall with a bucket truck and chipper to trim up a hugh tree in the back yard. Made ruts you could bury a body in!

Now, when my 100 pound dog goes outside, he sinks up to his hocks and practically has to have a full bath 4 times a day.

If not for the extremely high heating bills, I would take ice balls on his paws and fur any time over the mud and muck. I pretty much have the cleaning down to a science but poor Toby thinks I`m mad at him all the time instead of the mud. Not much releif in sight until around May.

Also, I liked the content of Beckys` poem...I miss your smiling face. Hope you put it back soon. Love, Carol
