I have had a bit of stress lately at work. I finally made a decision. I asked my Boss to ask the big Boss to let me go back to my old department. The dept that I am In now has gotton very pickey and I really have had enough of it. Soooo I have been in a phiffy mood of sorts and now that I have decided what to do I feel a bit better. Now If the Big Boss get approval from his Boss that would be great. Of course I'd have to go back thru 4 weeks of training again, but a whole lot less stress. I like the dept, but the client has put the thumb screws down a bit which causes our Boss to do the same. Home girl here don't like games. Besides I don't need a flare after all my work to stay in remission, by being stressed all the time. I also got tired of being told what we do wrong with not even a hint of what we do right. I know, I'm whining, but you all seem to understand. And thanks for that. Love Oma

Oma,

I hope you're able to get the approval you want. Life's too short to spend a lot of it under unnecessary stress.

Morning Oma,

I totally agree with Tex and I share you view of always hearing what is wrong and not a bit right. Suffered through that in a number of jobs and can happily say that does not exist where I am right now. Being sick this week my boss actually said, "As they say in Australia, not to worry if you are out" Just get better! I do hope they grant your request since you just don't need the stress.

Love and good luck, Maggie

Dear Oma,

I will keep you in my thoughts and truly hope this job change comes through for you. I know what stress did to me when this disease first hit me and I didn't know what was going on. I am retired but do remember how hard it was to get up and go to work each day in the one job I was terribly unhappy at.

oma ithink thats the best decision to make,,,especially if you can get back to your stress free "old job",,I agree with tex whats the point in putting yourself through unecessary stress with that department when you could probably easily get back to your old job to which im sure you know inside out anyway...And yes we only get one shot at this life so why be stressed in a job that you probably hate anyway...good luck x

Oma, I don't blame you. I have no doubt you do an excellent job (and I'm sure you know you do) but if you NEVER get any positive feedback it just demoralizes a person. I've been there too.

Oma, I have been there, too, with the NO positive feedback issue. I finally left the job where that was the issue, and when I left, they told me what a great job I did and how sad they were to see me go! If they'd told me that before, I might have stayed. I admire you greatly for standing up for yourself!

Love,
