I am feeling a bit more hopeful now. I finally heard back from the spinal surgeon & I am to have an MRI next Thursday the 12th, & see him on the following Thursday, the 19th. The appointment is for 7.30am down in Brisbane so it will mean a very early morning, especially as it is peak hour & the highway gets a bit clogged. I don't care what time it is, just so I finally get to see him.
Saw the leg surgeon again on Wednesday. He is happy enough with my progress there but said it could be up to another 6 weeks before it really shows greater improvement. B*&%ER.
I have just finished sewing another three turbans for my sister. Her head sweats so much that she needs to change pretty often. She had another of her big chemo days yesterday. She must be feeling fairly well today as she is off out somewhere. It usually doesn't really hit her for a day or so. We are hoping that she will be well enough to go out to our older sister's home on Sunday. Just have to wait & see.
Robert has to have some ultrasound scans and he won't see the haematologist again until 27th. He doesn't expect to find anything dire. We sound like a bunch of woes, don't we? I expect it is our age. It catches up with everyone sooner or later.
When are you going home to NOO Yawk?
