Welcome Angiemay!!
Hope you can find some guidance and help here as many have. Sounds like you have had quite a time with it and I hope the budesonide will soon give you better results. Have you been on it since Sept? The endoscopy shouldn't be so bad. I never knew I had mine. I'm assuming you will be put to sleep during the event.
Good luck
Shirley

thanks and hi yes have been on budisonide since sep have had the endoscopy before but just got a mild seditive so it wasent pleasent but if it comes to it just grin as long as they come up with a better treatment to help the simptoms you say you were put to sleep dont do that for this in uk its the burning in my gut thats bothering me so much having looked on the site i am wondering about my diet angie
Hi Angie,
Welcome to our group. From the description of your symptoms, it sounds as though you might have gastritis, which is an inflammation of the stomach lining. This can be caused by taking NSAIDs, (such as aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, etc.), or it could be due to H. pylori bacteria, or other causes. I doubt that you are taking any NSAIDs, because your doctor surely has told you that they can cause MC, but if by some chance you are taking any of them, then the burning pain and inflammation will stop, if you stop taking the NSAIDs. If it's H. pylori, then, of course, they will have be treated with an antibiotic. I hope that the problem is something that can be easily corrected.
Again, welcome aboard, and I hope the endoscopy exam goes smoothly.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I'm so sorry that you have been suffering since September. I hope that you'll soon be able to get your symptoms under control and that the endoscopy exam answers some of your questions.
I'm sure you'll be reading a lot of the posts on this site. You'll find a great deal of information here and a lot of support.
Good luck with the endoscopy exam.
Gloria
You never know what you can do until you have to do it.

Afternoon Angie May,
Sorry you had to find us but you landed in a great place. Know what trying to get appointments are like in the UK so I guess you are lucky to have one. Where are you located in the UK? My son and his family live in NW England and always anxious to know where others are located.
