I've noticed that some of the stores are selling Passover items now. Unfortunately, I didn't see any in the big chain stores, just a local chain store. They have set aside a section just for Passover items. I'm pretty sure that a large chain store closer to the Jewish populations will have the items.
They had a 3 oz. size of elite Bittersweet Chocolate for $1.69. This is what it says under the ingredient list: Kosher parve for Passover, Kitniot free, lecithin free, under the supervision of Nazareth-Illit Rabbinate. The chocolate is a product of Israel. They also sell milk chocolate, which I can't eat, but DH bought some for himself. The bittersweet has sugar in it and isn't baking chocolate. It tasted about the same as my molded chocolate, but the bars don't have to be refrigerated. I'll be able to take them to Utah next week and not worry about them turning to powder.
The store also had the Lieber's chocolate chips, which are standard size chips, for $2.99, about the same price as Enjoy Life chips. They are made in Brooklyn, N.Y. I'm hoping to buy the bags at 1/2 price, after Passover, like last year. I still have about a dozen bags left.
They had non-pariels ($3.99) with no soy and fruit slices candy ($1.99) and some other treats.
I saw Mother's Margarine sticks, but they were made with soy. I asked the clerk if they had the tubs for Passover and he said that they hadn't gotten any in yet. I recall last year that the margarine was a very late arrival. The cost then was about $4 a tub.
I'm hoping that you'll be able to find some of these items near you. It will probably depend upon the size of the Jewish population in your area.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Cool!!
You mean I'm not the only person who actively looks for "parve" kosher food! We don't have a very large jewish population here, but still you do see some foods turn up on the shelves. I'll have to look extra hard for the next month or so.
Thanks for bringing that up, Gloria. I would never have though of the passover connection myself.

I made the rounds today looking for half-price Passover items. I looked in four stores in heavily Jewish-populated areas and didn't find any of the Passover soy-free Mother's Margarine. I did, however find another brand called Haolam which is shaped in a block and unsalted. It's made by World Cheese Co., Inc. in Brooklyn, N.Y. It cost $5.69 - pretty expensive, so I only bought two pounds. I hope that Earth Balance's soy-free margarine won't be that expensive. For that price, I can mix Ghee and Spectrum Spread for baking. When I get butter on sale, I can make nearly a pound of Ghee for only $1 - $2.
I was able to stock up on Lieber's soy-free chocolate chips for $1.79 per 10 oz. bag. There are still a lot of the Elite dark chocolate candy bars available, but not at half price. I've been paying $1.69 for a 3 oz. bar. I also found some soy-free olive oil pan spray for half price.
