Yesterday I thought I was really come out of this last flare. I ate regular food, just very bland. This a.m. in the wee hours the stomach is gurgling and cramps in the thighs and calfs had me up walking them out.

I have looked back through my food diary and eggs seem to be the culprit. Polly suggested maybe legumes. I did have a few green beans last night. They were frozen ones which I really don't care for as they always taste funny to me. But when I looked back I haven't had any legumes for about 3 weeks. Go figure.

The only other thing I have done is increase my Vit. D3 from 2000 IU to 4000 IU per day. I take one tablet in the a.m. and the other with dinner. I just checked the ingredient list and didn't see anything that raised a red flag.

After being in remission for so long this is really dragging me down.

Jan,

What a bummer. Have you considered having some tests done at Enterolab. They have tests for egg and soy antibodies. The results would remove any doubts, one way or the other.

I have thought about it. Polly mentioned it yesterday also. I guess it now comes down to getting up the energy to call and get it sent. I know when I did the gluten test 4 years ago my insurance wouldn't pay for it. Since they seem to be cutting back on what and how much they pay now I won't even bother trying to file.

Jan,

I suspect that in most cases, a doctor would need to order the tests, in order for most insurance companies to consider paying for them. Finding a doctor willing to do that, can sometimes be a formidable task, in itself. :sigh:
