How To Cure/Prevent An H. Pylori Infrection

Post by tex »

Hi All,

This looks too good to be true, but it makes sense.

It's even possible that this could have a hand in treating/preventing MC and other IBDs, since it helps to control inflammation.

Wow Tex,

That is a great find. What do you think they mean by baby broccoli? Is it where you get the seeds and sprout them and eat the shoots? Or is it mature broccoli that has been harvested at an earlier stage?

Cristi,

I think they're referring to the sprouts, because they have a much higher concentration of sulforaphane, than mature heads. IOW, very young broccoli - only a few days old.

I also heard this on the news. I don't recall seeing broccoli seeds available for sprouting purposes only, but after this announcement, I'm sure we'll be able to get them.

Broccoli has always been easy on my gut, so this doesn't surprise me.

Hi,

I just found some organic broccoli seeds at wheatgrass.com. Will be fun to try them.

Broccoli is one of only two vegetables that I never stopped eating, when I was recovering, (the other is green beans).

There are a lot of places selling broccoli seed. Here are a few examples of online offerings:

Here is a fairly long offering of different varieties of broccoli seed to try, (you have to click on "Garden Vegetable Seeds", and then "Broccoli":

Here's a place where you can buy larger quantities, (10,000 seeds per lot):

This place supposedly sells bulk seed. "Open pollinated" means that you can grow seed from the plants that you raise, and the offspring will have the same characteristics as the original seed that you planted, (IOW, these varieties are not hybrids - hybrids are either sterile, or divert back to one of the parents, which usually prevents you from getting usable seed from them):
