My dear friends, queridos amigos :thanks:

Thank you for your kind words and wishes

:bigbighug:

On my birthday, I made a special gluten and dairy free chocolate cake and enjoyed a nice day with my family.:ChefStirringPot:
I am not able to have much exercise due to my health...Preparing the cake made me tired and gave me a long lasting tachycardia for the rest of the day, but at least it was nice to gather together for a couple of hours... And the cake had an excellent taste...

As I cannot have many activities on one single day, we decided to leave the rest of the celebrations for another day. My husband promised to take me out for lunch on Saturday, the 11th - so we are looking forward to enjoying my birthday tomorrow with a lunch in a restaurant (barbeque food or seafood). Just the two of us.

Again, thank you for your words and wishes,
Love,
:pulsinghearts:

You are always welcome, Barbara
Thank you for your good wishes...

Now the bad news...

As mentioned above, we were looking forward to having a special celebration on Saturday, the 11th. We never thought it could have been such a long Saturday...

We had lunch at a Restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal. I had a gluten free fish and my hubby some fried fishes...

At 2 am, (for the 4th or 5th time in a month), my husband woke me up to tell me that he was having a severe pain in the right upper abdomen (He has gallstones in his gallbladder). We tried with all kind of drugs to relieve the pain and nausea, but contrary to the last times that it happened, this time it lasted for more than 4 hours and the pain did not fade away... At first, he did not wanted to go to the Emergency Room but at about 6.30 am, he asked me to drive him to the ER.

He could not stand the pain any more.

At the emergency room, he got IV fluids with a double dosis of painkillers, but nothing could stop the pain. The doctors were worried (thinking about having to send him to Hospital for a surgery)... Then they gave him an inyection of a highly potent opiate analgesic drug to relief the pain (morphine). The first inyection helped but the pain did not fade away completely.
It was not until the second inyection of the opiate that the pain went away and that he was able to sleep.

We had to stay at the ER for about 3 hours more...

Even though, the doctor has recommended him to have his gallbladder removed and we are now going through the process... We do not know yet if the surgery will be a laparoscopic surgery or an open surgery... Have to meet with the surgeon in about a month time for the first visit... (cross your fingers. I hope that he has no other gallbladder attack in the meantime).

As you see, it was a long Saturday... On Sunday, we have been sleeping most part of the day, as we were both exhausted...

The following days, I have been feeling tired, with headaches, tachycardia, etc. Surely the stress... Have increased my treatment to cope with it. I am better now, though still a little worried...

Love,
Tessa
