Hi Dee,

I am after a hot cross bun recipe I can trust. Do you have one please?

Don't stress about it if you aren't well enough right now. There are recipes out there - I just don't know which one's will actually give a decent result.

Thanks Dee !!!

Yes, I need it to be free of gluten, dairy and soy. I see your recipe achieves that - and the yeast should make it taste right.

I'll try it as soon as I can - I think I have all the ingredients in the cupboard. It is so frustrating smelling everyone heating up buns for morning tea at work. That smell is just too yummy.

Well, I made these this morning and they worked just fine. Big tall buns.

I used hazelnut milk powder (it's european, 100% hazelnut), and macadamia oil. I didn't bother with the icing.

They did seem to brown a bit too quickly, so I had to cover them with foil to let them bake through without burning.

Only mistake I made is spearating them before they had cooled. They tended to collapse in a bit. Next time I'll just sneak out one, and leave the rest together to cool.

Thanks for the recipe, Dee.
