Susan Boyle

Post by starfire »

I am assuming that all or at least most of you have heard/seen the clip of Susan Boyle on Briton's Got Talent that surfaced this past week. I think she is so incredible. What a surprise!! In case you haven't heard her:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY

Now someone has unearthed a recording by her for a charity CD made back in 1999
Cry Me a River
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI2DxkrgpgQ

Maybe all of you have already heard it all but I thought I'd post just in case.

This video has been played on all the news stations here in Chicago. It's the most poignant example I've ever seen of the saying "You can't tell a book by it's cover." What a lesson for all of us and what an example she is.

Shirley:

David and myself have indeed seen the incredible video on Susan Boyle. Like you we were amazed and in awe of her vocal ability. We both enjoy watching AI and AGT but we have NEVER seen or heard of any contestant ever receive such instant fame like this lady has. Her performance left both David and I in tears. If anyone has not yet seen her audition performance then they truly need to watch it and enjoy.

Thank You for posting it though because I truly enjoyed watching it again and I will probably watch again, again, again and again. She's the real deal in my opinion.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi

Susan Boyle is incredible= with a voice that I hope will take her places--besides her voice---SUSAN herself is a person U cant help but LUVE--she is awesome----and like all--Louie and I had tears rolling down our cheeks--

I wish I was THERE to actually have seen her perform----

The best was seeing Simon's face-----I luve that guy---he doesnt hold anything back--sometimes a bit *hard* but I feel what he does is to help other performers take stock of what THEY think THEY have~~~~

KUDOS to U Susan----

luve Barbara

PS. if I ever sang CRY me a RIVER --I believe the RIVER would cry for me

Barbara your voice can not be that bad. Just keep singing your heart out like nobody is listening and it will make you feel great!

Both David and I have returned to listen over again Susan's audition and to hear her track of Cry Me A River and I can't wait until she puts out a CD. Because I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's awesome!!!!

Jodi,

I must have listened to the audition tape at least 15 times. I love that song and she does do it so well.

I've listened to the other one 3 or 4 times but the first is my favorite. I hope they will continue to put her selections on you tube as the contest continues. I'm looking forward to hearing more from her.

Hi Shirley:

I hope they continue allowing the auditions and compition on UTube also. I absolutely love Susan voice and want to hear more!!!!!! LOL

This past weekend they had a 12 yr. old boy audition. Go to UTube and type in Shaheen Jafargholi. OMG! This youngster is awesome as well this compition is going to one to watch I just wish we could watch it locally.

Love & God Bless:
Jodi

P.S. Let me know what you think of him. Simon actually STOPS him within the first few bars of his originally selected song and ask him to choose something different. It's a MUST WATCH audition.

He sounds great and is very talented. It will be interesting to hear what he sounds like when his voice changes but, of course, that won't lessen his talent.

  Me too, Angy!!
Wish the "newshounds" would leave her alone and let her have some peace. They make a person feel like they can't blink without it being reported (or making a story out of nothing) and then they think it's awful a person hires a bodyguard or something. Nothing you can possibility do or say (or not do or say) can be "right" in a situation like that. They will put their spin own spin on everything........ Hmmm sounds like politics. Ha
