It's been rough.........yes I'm whinning!

Post by Mars »

Hi everyone!

It's been awhile, I know..................so sorry about that.

Life has continued and is continuing to throw some nasty curve balls my way! I'm not gonna complain............TOO much.............. :)

Continuing to have problems at work. We're working 35 hour weeks and about to further lower our hours. Larry is layed off and his health is not real good either. His lungs are those of a 90 year old according to the doctor. He has arthritis in his back from neck to hips. He's doing pretty good but has to take things slow.

I have out-patient surgery scheduled for Tuesday of next week. I have a "trigger thumb" that is locking in place and requiring me to use the other hand to unlock it. I've had 3 prednisone shots over the course of 2 years and I can't have any more. It needs fixed! It's my right hand of course, and will be really sore for about 6-8 weeks but I'll go back to work the following Monday with stitches that stay in for 2 weeks!

Trisha and the kids were up a week ago for 4 days. They'll be back again the end of this week or beginning of next to stay another few days! Crazy kids. For those of you who don't know, Trisha is my youngest daughter (28) and she has my oldest and youngest grandkids - both boys. Her husband is in the Army and stationed at Fort Campbell, KY.

It's great seeing all the new people on the board! WELCOME! It's a great place, huh?

Hi to everyone, I've missed talking to all of you............time seems to be so full and stressful that all I do is read the board and not respond. I read daily but don't post.

I'm doing fairly well with the colitis but I've noticed that the stress will cause nice fluffy poop! LOLOLOL

I :crack: me up!

Love and  to all of you!

Hi Mars,

Sorry to hear of the continuing problems. If it's any consolation, my business is in the pits too, (I guess I must have needed a vacation. ). Hopefully, all of that "recovery money" that the government is throwing at the banks and certain manufacturers, will eventually begin to have a positive effect. I think that we all would have been much better off, if they would have just given the money to us. The banks and manufacturers would have wound up with it anyway, but at least we, (the taxpayers), would have derived some benefit from it, in the meantime. After all, it's our money, and we, (and our kids and grandkids), will be the ones footing the bill, for generations to come.

Good luck with the surgery on your thumb. I really feel for you, about that problem, because I've had an occasional trigger finger issue lately, but so far, it's not serious enough to be concerned about. I hope your recovery goes smoothly, though I'm sure it will be far from easy, trying to work, and do everything else that life requires, with that sucker bandaged up and hurting for so long.

Thanks for the update.

Love,
Tex

Mars,

I'm very glad to hear from you although the news is not good but we aren't on this board for just the good news. I'm really sorry that everything is so hard for you and Larry right now and I'm surely hoping that everything will improve before too long. Good luck with your surgery and let us know how you are whenever you feel you can.

Hey Mars,

Good to see you post. Since your last posts had mentioned your work woes, I was a bit concerned that things had gone downhill for you.

It sounds like you are coping really well with some big challenges. We never appreciate little things like thumbs until we can't use them!!

We are always here to listen if you need to vent.

Morning Mars,

So sorry to hear about the work situation and that Larry was laid off. Seems like it is hitting everywhere. Definitely agree with Tex on the money coming to the citizens who would have fed the economy and not hoarded it like the banks are especially doing.

Sorry to hear about the medical issues and you know we are always here for you and anyone who just needs to sound off, laugh with us or need support.

Love, Maggie

Oh Mars Bar!

That sucks! I think of you often and wonder how things are going. You didn't mention your eyes.....does that mean all is cleared up in that area? Hope so. You could use a break, that's for sure. You have had one thing after another for quite some time now. Enough already!!!

That's good news at least that the MC is under good control. I know what you mean about the fluffy poops during stressful times. Please try to take care of yourself.....a little pampering goes a long way, I've found.

Lots of love,

Polly Wolly

Hi Tex,
