Hi Pat,
Somewhere in another post you asked me about greens, and now I can't find it. I do love all greens, and funniest thing, I actually enjoy that bitter taste. In fact, sometimes I even drizzle vinegar over them before eating. Weird, huh? However, a way to reduce the bitter taste is to cook greens in chicken broth and let it reduce by about a half. Really yummy! You can also saute some onions and garlic in olive oil and add them to the greens. I'm sure Dee has tips on this and will jump in. She has posted some greens recipes too.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Polly,
Thanks!
Right now I don't think I can handle the oil. I think I am still malabsorbing fats. Also I have been told from an IgG test to avoid garlic ( and eggs). Not sure about onions either. I'm really a pitiful case right now. Entocort is helping and also avoiding all intolerants and irritants ( which seem to be almost everything). Someday I hope I get to enjoy some greens again. I remember when I was little my dad was stationed in the Pentagon and we lived in Virginia and my mom used to buy kale in cans. I thought it was great! We really don't find it in cans in Texas or at least where I have shopped. Now I really like to eat fresh vegetables and rarely buy anything in cans. I may try the chicken broth that sounds good. Thanks again!
