Introducing Starbucks First Gluten-Free Treat

Customers asked for it and it’s finally here! Starbucks Gluten-Free Orange Valencia Cake with Almonds is prepared with seven simple ingredients—whole eggs, Valencia orange pulp, almonds, sugar, orange peel, gluten-free baking powder and orange oil. Each cake comes individually wrapped to ensure gluten-free goodness and is a welcome treat for those with a sensitivity to gluten...or to anyone with a taste for a moist flavorful snack.

Read more of the story behind this cake

I can't figure out how to post the link, but there are production details and they seem adamantly committed to avoiding cross-contamination!! I've been told to find a Starbuck's near us that carries this, and Mike and I will go out for coffee and dessert...I'll review it for you guys!

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I tried one last night - quite yummy, I must say! It is about the size of a cupcake, comes in a wrapper and has a moist, dense texture. Made a good accompaniment to my latte....the best part is it was only $1.95 - definitely on par with the prices of their other baked goods - I was fearing it would be another $5 snack as most GF things tend to be so much pricier than the wheat-containing equivalents...

For those who don't have other intolerances, I would definitely recommend it - next step is to convince them to make something *chocolate*

Ooh! This is exciting! I don't care for Starbucks coffee (too strong for my taste) but I'm going to be traveling for the next few weeks and maybe will have to find one of these...hope they have then at the starbuck's in the airport!

Don't like their coffee either but have them on my list for this treat.
