Hello to All
Finally got on the site but this old computer here is very bad. Keeps freezing up. Hope it lets me post this.
Mike (Son) left this AM and I am missing him badly already. He sure did a lot of stuff for me including repairing the lawn mower. He even taught me how to run the Kabota tractor for bush hogging. HaHa I told him I'd try to keep the field close to the house done but no promise on more than that. This is so we can see the wildlife better.
Speaking of wildlife, we have another big bear. One was killed last year a few days after Bill passed away. I haven't seen the new bear yet but Mike says it's at least as big as the one from last year. He has found my bird feeder already.
Also have some hummingbirds. Saw one within an hour from the time I hung it out. Don't have as many other birds as normal but I guess they found other places to snack.
The place was in pretty good shape. Have a lot to do though to keep it that way.
I hope everyone is doing OK and whoever isn't...... hope you will be soon.
I don't dare try to read posts before posting. I'd never get it to last that long.
Welcome to the all new people. I think I spied a few new names when I looked down the page.
Love, Shirley

Hi Shirley,
I'm glad that computer allowed you post. It didn't take long for a new bear to move in, did it. Hopefully, he won't turn out to be a troublemaker.
I hope everything keeps working smoothly, so that you can enjoy all the time you spend there.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy. Be carefull I have been known to spend an entire day on my little Kubota, only coming down to take care of business and grab a snack
Take care-oh and what kind of hummers are you seeing?
p.s.
I sprinkle cayenne pepper (I get the large size at Costco or Sams Club for cheap) all around my cabin when I am there, I have actually heard a bear make a sneeze/snort before running off. I also took bacon grease and added half a bottle of that super duper chile pepper sauce, made with Habenero chillies. You do have to reapply the cayenne after it rains, but it does seem to keep them from coming back, well that and my awnry Queensland Heeler! But the number one method is to leave nothing out, or secure anything you can't bring in, after a while of nothing to forage on the generally leave.

Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
