I was reading that a lot of people with MC also have chronic fatigue. Does this get better?
I am so exhausted today I can hardly get anything done. Please tell me this gets better.
And for those of you who have had depression and anxiety symptoms with MC, has diet helped you or do you take meds for the dep/anx?
Thanks in advance. So many questions....

Hi NMM and
It DOES get better. I promise. But it's the last symptom to fully improve. I remember looking back after a year of the diet and realizing how much more energy I had......and again after 2 years. It kinda sneaks up on you.
During active MC I could fall into bed on weekends at 8 or 9 at night, sleep 12 hours, and get up feeling as if I had had no sleep at all.
So happy to meet you!
Love,
Polly

Yes, it does get better-----and fatigue comes along with this disease-----as I said before----I was luckier than most here---concerning additives etc.
My problem was the first GI who was a total ass---and didnt know how to treat this ailment--actually didnt even know anything about it!! and I wasnt SMART enuf to do some reading and educate myself--
At first I had lactose to deal with--then some fillers---
Like U--I almost spent all the time lying down---and the rest on the *throne* which certainly wipes U out--
My salvation was a new EDUCATED GI--that got me on my feet--
I am on anti- depressants due to family issues---which help me deal with *stuff*
So dont give up---it does get better---read all U can here and QUESTION away!!!!!

PS. wanted to tell U---we say it like it is
---just let it spew out and release your tension--

It's great that you tell it like it is. That's the only way to go.
My problem is that I wake up every morning around 5 and can't get back to sleep. With 4 little kids to take care of on top of not sleeping well and the fatigue of the MC some days are pretty tough. I'm hanging in there though.
I don't have the classic D symptom of MC but I do have a LOT of nausea and poo frequency/loose-ishness.
And yeah, my GI doc is right up there with your first one. I swear I want to print out that article from Dr. Fine about GS before villi destruction and give it to every doctor I have been to. And then some.
I just ordered the gliadin and casein tests from enterolab for myself and my baby. I'll do my other kiddos soon. I think we all have it.

Muffin,
I'm not sure what you consider to be the classic D symptom, but someone else mentioned that it is when you go 3 or more times a day. I thought I didn't have the classic D, either because I didn't always have watery D. My GI said if I was going 9 times a day, then I had D.
Your Enterolab test results should help you on your road to remission. Be sure to share them with us. We always are interested in them.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
