Hi friends,

Thank you for all your kind words of support for me and my dad. I have more time to chat with you now that he's been taken care of. I'm now his primary caregiver, even though he's in a facility. So I'll have on-going responsibilities.

I put "my story" in the "Personal Experiences with Diet" room.

You are MOST welcome, Alice!!

I hope that you take some days to yourself even though your Dad is in a facility. I know from experience that it can be a rat race if you let it. In spite of being his primary caregiver, the primary person for you to give care to is YOU!!!

I know where you are coming from as my dad lives with us here at home and has Parkinsons. I, too, am the primary care giver and have poa etc...

Oh MJ,

I think what you are doing for your dad is wonderful - don't know if I could do it. How far advanced is he? My father-in-law had Parkinson's and his wife made many sacrifices trying to care for him all by herself til the very end.
It was her choice, but what a toll it took. I hope you get help if you need it.
