this is the funniest thing that has happened to me with sending out emails that I get--think cute--funny or honoring our men and women in the service---
Also--when at the end the mail says *watch what happens in your screen--which I have never SEEN anything happen but--
somewhere along the line I sent an email--dont remember from who or what-- and this is what happened to me---
First my neighbor cross the street FRANK says *barbara whats this xxxxxxxxxxxx email??
Frank say I---very embarrassed -- *I dont know???
This morning I get an email from Lynn asking the same--Mom---whats this xxxxxxxxx--so she then post ok--I shall send it back to u--xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx---luve U too
So I then call Frank and Carmela to tell them that Lynn got the same message and to this point I still dont know what the heck I sent---I know it wasnt xxxxxxxxxxx--
Louie says to me---Barbara U are in big trouble!!!
So if anyone can add to this please let me know---
thanks
totally befuddled--Barbara

Morning Barbara,
I have sent an email that must have had some "gremlin" in it and it wound up going to everyone in my address book. I also avoid social sites but someone sent me something from Reunion.com and as soon as I opened it it went to everyone in my address book telling them I had invited them to join me. Very embarassing for a site I would not join and now cannot get my name off their list. Very annoying all the way around. Probably the reason I like you only prefer to forward on very special emails.
Love, Maggie
P.S. - Just shake your head and say "who me"

Your computer has a virus. A lot of the e-mail stuff that goes around, contains viruses, worms, trojans, etc. When you open it, your computer becomes infected, if your anti-virus software doesn't recognize it, and quarantine it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex is correct. Your computer has a virus and the emails are being sent to others using your address book, as Maggie said.
When I was the technology director at my school, we had to deal with viruses a lot until we set up the virus protection software to download the new definitions every school day. Also, you should never open attachments from people you don't know. Even if you do recognize the sender, you need to be cautious because the email could have been sent via a virus program. Many times, there is no subject line, or the sender's address is slightly off.
You can't do anything about the emails that have been sent already, but you can "disinfect" your computer with a good antivirus program so that it won't send any more. It's very important to continually update the virus definitions.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
