bad bacteria or yeast problems. They did say she had trouble digesting sugars. That is interesting.
I just read The Self-Help Way to Treat Colitis and Other IBS Conditions, by De Lamar Gibbons, MD.
This book makes so much sense. The idea behind it is that we are not digesting fructose and lactose. So, any fruits, corn syrup, beans, Mannitol, Xylotyol are out. You can have potatoes and rice and corn just not corn sugars or sweet corn. Also he suggest a low fiber diet.
It makes sense. Emily wanted to try going back on corn, as the verdict wasn't out yet on corn. She ate so much candy and icies that she has been super sick the past week.
When we went on Vaction last month she ate a bunch of those natural fruit
leathers. She was sicker than a dog the entire vactaiton. She also ate a bunch of chocalte on vacation and her tongue turned into a big huge sore.
I think this is really the culprit. Her food allergy testing also had her allergic to most fruits and sugars. I think the clues are adding up.
The Nurse just called and her Upper small bowel just came back negative.
Tears of joy.
We are starting the Pepto treatment today. This does have Mannitol in it,
which is not on that diet.
Our Chiropractor said that he can get just the main ingredient in the Pepto.
I think I'll call him today.
