eating a little crow

Post by RUBYREDDOG »

Well the good news is my G.I. extended my prescription for Entocort. I asked the pharmacist to request that my doc prescribe 6 mg per day. He prescribed 9 mg per day and the prescription is good for 1 year.

I only need 6 mg per day so that will be what I take until I can reduce it further. So I have to take back all the nasty thoughts I had regarding the perceived actions of my G.I. doctor.

Will wonders ever cease.

Hotrod,

 All I can say is that it's a good thing that crow is gluten-free, or we'd all be in trouble.

 Kudos to your GI doc.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Hotrod,

I felt a little guilty after my GI renewed my Entocort prescription, too. Maybe they are finally realizing that there's nothing else they can do for us! You should be set for a while, especially if you eventually can reduce your dosage.

I've got a visit with my GI on Friday as a follow-up to the diverticulitis. I'm going to be honest with him about my struggle to achieve remission without Entocort. Maybe it's time for me to see an allergist or some other similar specialist. I'm running out of ideas and foods to eliminate.

Great News from your GI. If you only need 6 mg you can then stockpile the rest if you need to continue longer.

Good Luck, Maggie
